Browns’ 50th
Ray and Ethel (Schmitt) Brown, of Alcoa, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary today. A spring cruise to Alaska is planned in celebration.
The couple were married Jan. 20, 1963, at Mt. Carmel Methodist Church, Mt. Carmel, Ala. Frank Schmitt, Mrs. Brown’s brother, officiated.
Their family includes children Mike (Joni) Brown, of Maryville, Mark (Jill) Brown, of Redlands, Calif., and Melanie Brown, of Carmel, Ind. They have eight grandchildren.
Mr. Brown is retired from Food City Pharmacy. He is the former owner of Chilhowee Pharmacy. Mrs. Brown is retired from Coldwell Banker Real Estate.
They attend Fellowship EV Church, Knoxville.
