Grindstaffs’ 50th
Darrell and Virginia (Gardner) Grindstaff, of Maryville, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Sullivan’s Restaurant. A trip is planned for later in the spring.
The couple were married March 9, 1963, at Bryson City Methodist Church, Bryson City, N.C. Minister James B. Thomas officiated.
Their family includes children Teresa (David) Copeland, of Lenoir City, and Stacey (Leslie) Grindstaff, of Knoxville. They have five grandchildren, Dustin and Meghan Copeland and Austin, Hayden and Nicole Grindstaff, and one great-grandson, Mason Copeland.
Mr. Grindstaff is retired from City of Maryville Water Quality Control. Mrs. Grindstaff is retired from Delta Air Lines.
They enjoy camping and following their grandchildren’s sporting events. They are members of Friendship Baptist Church.
