Holsonbacks’ 69th
Weyman Charles and Sarah “Tennie” (Morrison) Holsonback Sr., of Maryville, celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary Nov. 26 with family.
The couple were married Nov. 26, 1943, in Calhoun, Ga., while Mr. Holsonback was home on furlough from the United States Army. The Rev. Thomas Henderson officiated.
Their family includes daughter-in-law Florence Green Holsonback and son, the late W.C. Holsonback Jr. They have two grandchildren, Larry Dale Holsonback and wife Josephine Wilkinson Holsonback and Dina Renee Holsonback Davis and husband Keith Davis. Their great-grandchildren include Brianna Melissa Holsonback, Catharine Ann Holsonback, Landon Matthew Davis and Elijah Trent Davis.
Mr. Holsonback is retired from ALCOA Inc. after 33 years of service. He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving in the European Theater. Mrs. Holsonback is retired from the medical field.
They are members of Cades Cove Memorial Baptist Church.
