Phinneys’ 40th
Lester and Patty (McCoy) Phinney Sr., of Maryville, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Sept. 23 at their home.
The couple were married Sept. 23, 1972, at Smyrna Baptist Church, Tampa, Fla.
Their family includes children Lester Jr., Lloyd and Elizabeth Phinney, all of Maryville, and Marine Michael Phinney, of Virginia. They have 12 grandchildren, Tanner, Hanna, Gracie, Morgan, Lester III, Kora, Kasina, Liam, Priscilla, Justin, Faith and Mikale.
Mr. Phinney is employed at KUB, Knoxville, and is the only caregiver for Mrs. Phinney, who is disabled with cancer, heart disease and more.
The couple attend Liberty Missionary Baptist Church and enjoy photography, building, gardening, handmade miniature Cades Cove homes and spending time with their family. Mrs. Phinney published “MaKayla’s Rainbow.”
