Stuckys’ 50th
Ed and Virginia Stucky, of Townsend, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently with an open house reception at the Chilhowee Club in Maryville. The celebration was hosted by their three children.
The couple were married Jan. 26, 1963, in St. Petersburg Fla. The late Rev. T.R. York officiated.
Their family includes children Edward Jr. and wife Karen Stucky, of Louisville, Ky., Tina Starr, of Winter Park, Fla., and Terrisa Stucky, of Maryville. They have four grandchildren, John and wife Melanie Watson, Joseph Starr, Joshua Stucky and Rachel Starr. They have two great-grandchildren, Hailey Watson and Cahleb Watson.
Mr. and Mrs. Stucky have owned and operated Top Of Townsend Cabin Rentals in Townsend for the past 17 years. Mr. Stucky previously had a 30-year career in the computer field and Mrs. Stucky previously had a 22-year career in sign language.
Mr. Stucky currently serves as chairperson of the Blount County Planning Commission. Mrs. Stucky is a member of the Blount County Newcomers Club.
They attend River Oaks Community Church in Maryville.
