Local students graduate from Tennessee Wesleyan
Tennessee Wesleyan College celebrated its first winter commencement, graduating 83 students at the ceremony in Townsend Memorial Hall. Local students graduating were Meghann Cannon, of Vonore, Amber Cody, of Maryville, Joseph Davenport, of Knoxville, Amy McCarty, of Maryville. Jeff Monckton, of Knoxville and Norman Williamson, of Friendsville.
Commencement speaker was Dr. James Dawson, a former TWC president and currently serving as president of Lincoln Memorial University.
