Vass celebrates 80th birthday
Anthony Gus Vass, of Maryville, celebrated his 80th birthday with friends and family at a party given by his daughters on Oct. 27.
Vass was born Oct. 29, 1932 on Miami, Fla. to the late Gus and Zoe Vassilakakis. He is married to Patricia Hagood Vass. His family includes daughters Patty Coleman, of Louisville and Debbie Adsit, of Maryville. He has four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mr. Vass was employed by Southern Bell in Florida. He is in the Sawdust Club at Oakview Baptist Church. He walks two miles a day, loves to hike and do woodworking.
