Welch celebrating 84th birthday
Robert V. Welch, of Maryville, is celebrating his 84th birthday. He was born in Sharps Chapel on Jan. 20, 1929, in Union County to the late Chester and Virgie Weaver Welsh.
Mr. Welch is a retired Knox County school teacher and farmer. He is a veteran of the Korean War. He is also a 61-year member of Brantley’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church in Maryville.
