BREAKING Two in custody in Blount homicide case

Two people are in custody and both charged with criminal homicide in connection with the death of 66-year-old Arthur Walter Downey Sunday night, Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong announced today.
Trevor Lloyd Segars, 20, of Six Mile Road, Maryville, and Colin Louis Blades, 21, of Mint Road Maryville, are being held in the Blount County Corrections Facility. Both are charged with criminal homicide.
Segars and Blades are being held on a $250,000 bond each and will face their charges in Blount County General Sessions Court at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 30.
At around 12:30 Monday morning, Sheriff’s deputies responded to Arthur Downey’s residence after family members found him unresponsive in his residence on Turkey Pen Branch Road.
