Fire hits Royal Metal Powders

A fire occurred Wednesday morning at Royal Metal Powders Inc.,
433 Continental Drive, on the Maryville/Rockford border near Singleton Station Road.
Blount County firefighters were dispatched to the scene at approximately 10:15 a.m. as smoke was coming out of the top of the building, but had not affected the building’s structure. Firefighters were working to control the blaze, the origin of which has not yet been determined.
