Freeze watch in effect from late tonight through Thursday morning

The National Weather Service issues a freeze watch that is in effect from late tonight through mid-morning Thursday.
Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing early Thursday morning, killing unprotected sensitive outdoor vegetation.
A freeze watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible. These conditions could kill crops and other unprotected sensitive vegetation.
Below freezing temperatures are expected across the lower elevations of East Tennessee early Thursday.
The remnants of Hurricane Sandy will slowly move north, away from the East Tennessee valley and Southern Appalachians late today and tonight. Skies will clear from the southwest to the northwest early today and tonight.
