Gaynell Lawson named new president/CEO of CBBC
From Staff Reports
CBBC has named Gaynell Lawson as its new president and chief executive officer, taking over the helm from retiring Joe Bruce, the bank’s founder.
A Blount County native, Lawson, who also began with CBBC when it opened in 1973, previously served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for the bank before taking on this new role.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary in September, CBBC “has enjoyed a very profitable first part of the year,” Lawson said, “and we’re looking forward to a smooth continuation of this performance.”
Lawson is a graduate of Friendsville High School, Maryville College, and the Tennessee School of Banking. She graduated with Highest Honors from the School for Bank Administration at the University of Wisconsin.
