Louisville man Fred Lee Wright arrested after killing neighbor’s dog
From Staff Reports
A Louisville man was arrested this morning after police said he killed a neighbor’s dog following a dispute with the animal’s owner.
Fred Lee Wright, 62, of Cub Drive, was charged with intentionally killing an animal and stalking. Bond amounts and a court date have not yet been scheduled.
Blount County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a Cub Drive residence shortly after 8 a.m. to a report of a disturbance between two neighbors, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said deputies found a small, brown dog lying on the ground bleeding and dead.
The deputy said Wright admitted to killing the dog. He was taken to the Blount County Jail.
The dog’s owner, Diane Stephens, told police she’s had ongoing issues with Wright, authorities said.
