National Weather Service issues an increased fire danger alert for East Tennessee, southwestern North Carolina

The National Weather Service has issued an alert saying there is an increased fire danger this afternoon and early evening for East Tennessee and southwester North Carolina.
Sunshine and breezy westerly winds will work to dry out fuel moisture over East Tennessee and southwestern North Carolina, creating an increased fire danger through sunset.
Residents are discouraged from burning this afternoon, due to this increased potential for fire growth and spread.
