A three-vehicle accident on Alcoa Highway and Topside Road sent several people to the hospital.
The Alcoa Police Department, Alcoa Fire Department and Rural/Metro were dispatched to the scene at approximately 3:45 p.m.
Southbound traffic on Alcoa Highway was backed up, with Alcoa police officers directing.
