Update: Maryville College, Blount County, Alcoa, Maryville schools closing

All school systems in Blount County will be closed tomorrow as a winter storm of freezing rain prepares to move into the region tomorrow morning.
Classes have been called off for Alcoa and Maryville city schools as well as Blount County schools.
The National Weather Service has issued a freezing rain advisory in effect from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow.
Ice accumulations between a tenth and a quarter of an inch will be possible.
In addition, the United Way annual meeting scheduled for Friday at noon is canceled due to inclement weather.
Maryville College will be closed as well.
