Walland man faces aggravated child abuse charges

A 25-year-old Walland man was charged late last week with
aggravated child abuse.
According to a release from Blount County Sheriff
James Lee Berrong, Bobby William Halcomb, Humphry Road, Walland, was being held on a $100,000
bond pending a hearing today in Blount County General Sessions Court
today.
Halcomb was taken into custody last Thursday after his 3-month-old
son was admitted into Children’s Hospital with severe injuries.
The
Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the incident. Additional
information about the incident will be released as it becomes available.
