VanderVeen-Covert

Jessica Moriah VanderVeen, daughter of David and Rebecca VanderVeen, of Alcoa, is engaged to marry Justin Lance Covert, son of Joe and LaDonna Covert, of Friendsville, at 7 p.m. May 26 at Wears Valley Ranch. Invitations will be sent.

The future bride is the granddaughter of Paul and Shirley Counts, of Huntsville, Ala., and the late Harold and the late Louise VanderVeen.

The future bridegroom is the grandson of Lloyd Lance and Judy Lance, of Maryville, and the late Paul U. and the late Luella Covert.

The bride-to-be received a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from Lee University. She is employed as an athletic trainer at Benchmark in Cleveland.

The bridegroom-to-be is a junior majoring in health science at Lee University.
