In Search of a Coach: The Path to New Leadership

After a grueling 19-day search, Tennessee found its 24th head football coach: Cincinnati's Butch Jones reached an agreement with the Vols to replace Derek Dooley, who was formally dismissed on Nov. 18, a game short of finishing his third season at Tennessee. The announcement was made Friday, Dec. 7.

It was a 19-day journey filled with rumors of deals and pending deals -- some seemingly based on fact, while at least one was called mere "fantasy."

The Daily Times' partnership with http://VolQuest.com kept you abreast of it all.
