Alcoa police detectives investigate apparent double homicide, suicide

Investigators from Alcoa Police Department responded
Sunday night to the report of a shooting at a residence where they found three people dead in an
apparent double homicide, suicide.
According to a release Alcoa Police
Department Capt. Dale Boring said Sunday night that police officers responded at 8:41 p.m. to the
report of a shooting at 813 Maple Street in Alcoa. Upon arrival, two males and one female were found
dead inside of the residence. The incident is still under investigation, but detectives said the
deaths appear to be the result of a double homicide and
suicide.
Alcoa police detectives were questioning possible witnesses
late Sunday night and early this morning and were collecting evidence at the scene. The names of
the victims will be released pending notification of family members, and more details surrounding
the case will be released as they become available.
