Firefighters from Maryville Fire Department and Alcoa Fire
Department are still on the scene of a morning fire at Law Office Building, 306 S. Washington
St.
No one has been reported injured, but a Maryville police dispatcher said one firefighter fell through the roof, but was not transported for care.
The fire first came in as an alarm at 5:02 a.m. and firefighters responded, finding smoke in the building at 5:10 a.m. The dispatcher said the fire, which is believed to be primarily in the attic area, was located at 5:28 a.m. "and it's been going ever since."
Mary Beth West Consulting, 324 S. Washington St., posted on Facebook, "So much for a Happy Monday. With the fire at our office building this morning, we're beraking out the MBWC crisis plan! Thx to everyone for keeping your fingers crossed for us!"
