Kenjo Markets donates $10,000 to Boys & Girls Club

From Staff Reports

An East Tennessee company has presented $10,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Blount County.

KenJo Markets’ donation will help the Boys & Girls Club of Blount County purchase a bus, as well as fix current club buses. Currently, the nonprofit provides free transportation from 10 local schools.

“Being able to offer this free transportation service is vital to our mission,” said Boys & Girls Club of Blount County Executive Director Jeff Money. “The generous BP Fueling Communities donation from KenJo Markets is giving us the opportunity to reach more kids and further deepen our impact on the youth in our community.”

The Boys & Girls Club of Blount County plans to expand transportation services to another six school locations.

The nonprofit is currently located on the former Fort Craig Elementary School’s first floor.

The Boys & Girls Club of Blount County is currently serving 75-80 students daily. Officials hope to have 100-115 members by the year’s end.
