Maryville man with disorder reported missing since Friday

By J.J. Kindred | (jj.kindred@thedailytimes.com)

A Maryville man was reported missing after he did not return home by his scheduled time, according to a Maryville Police Department report.

Troy T. McNeilly, 44, Macon Street, was last seen in the Eagleton Village area at 7 a.m. Friday, according to his mother, Martha McNeilly. She said her son was due home at 5:30 p.m. Friday but never showed up.

He is reported to be on medication for bipolar disorder and had not taken his prescribed dosage since early Friday morning, Martha McNeilly said. Her son has a fairly regular schedule and rarely deviates without first informing her.

Martha McNeilly said she has called all her friends and posted Facebook messages about her concerns, but there have not been any positive responses.

The Knoxville Police Department checked the parking lot of Troy McNeilly’s place of employment, Xpedx in Knoxville, but there had not been any contact. A BOLO message was placed Saturday evening.

Phone and credit card usage have also been monitored, but there has been no activity. Troy McNeilly’s information has been entered into the National Crime Information Center.
