One killed in crash on Morganton Road

An unidentified motorist was killed Monday night when a
pickup truck crashed into a tree Monday evening in the 4800 block of Morganton Road near Salem Church
Road in Greenback.
Blount
County Sheriff’s Office deputies and the Greenback Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to
the scene at about 8:50 p.m.
There were no other passengers in the vehicle, and the
accident is under investigation.
