Robber flees Krystal with money

From Staff Reports

Police are investigating after a man entered the Krystal restaurant in Maryville Wednesday evening and robbed the business before fleeing.

Maryville Police Chief Tony Crisp said officers were called to the business, located at 303 Whitecrest Drive, at around 5:15 p.m. to a report of a robbery.

Employees said a thin, short, white man wearing a black hoodie and a bandana across his face entered the restaurant, said he had a gun and demanded money.

Employees said the man did not display a weapon, but told workers he was armed.

“The employees there complied with his demand,” Crisp said. “He fled in a white vehicle, probably a 90s model vehicle, driven by a white female.”

Crisp said the small white sedan left on Whitecrest Drive traveling south.

The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Maryville Police Crime Hotline at 865-380-1380.
