Woman allegedly robbed at Kmart

A man allegedly robbed a 48-year-old Maryville woman Saturday evening in the Kmart parking lot, according to a Maryville Police report.
The woman told officers that she was walking toward the store’s front entrance when a white male wearing a yellow/tan baseball hat, white T-shirt and blue jean shorts approached her. She reported that the man pushed her on the ground and dragged her for about three feet before stealing her purse and fleeing the scene. The purse and its contents were valued at $1,103.
The woman suffered minor injuries, but she refused medical attention at the scene.
A witness later told officers that the man ran through the parking lot and into the woods toward Celtic Avenue. The Maryville Police Department is investigating the incident.
