Anna Belle Shamblin
Anna Belle Shamblin, age 93, of Alcoa, passed away Saturday, February, 23, 2013, at Parkwest Medical Center. She was a longtime member of Alcoa First Baptist Church and served in the nursery for over 20 years. Anna enjoyed spending time outside gardening and working with flowers in her yard. Preceded in death by husband, James Austin Shamblin; grandson, Michael James Waggoner; daughter-in-law, Cathy Shamblin. Survivors include son, Bob Shamblin of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Carl Waggoner of Knoxville; grandchildren, Tim Waggoner and Lynette of Ringgold, Ga., and David Waggoner of Knoxville; great-grandchildren, Joshua Waggoner, Hannah Waggoner, and Sara-Ann Waggone, all of Ringgold, Ga.; sister, Pauleda Butler; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Brakebill Nursing Home for their good care of Anna Belle the last six months. Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at Smith Trinity Chapel. Family and friends will assemble for entombment at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Sherwood Mausoleum Chapel.
