Anna Mae Self
Anna Mae Self, age 85, of Maryville, died Friday, January 25, 2013, at Blount Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Self was a longtime member of East Maryville Baptist Church and was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grand and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Fred C. Self; son, Garry Self; and daughter, Margaret Ann Cooper. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell and Michele Self, Larry and Becky Self; son-in-law, Butch Cooper; grandchildren, Tony Cooper, April Self, Amanda Johnson, Dana Basler, Darren Self, and Darrell Thomas; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Leroy Rogers of Maryville and Bill Rogers of Cleveland, Ga. The family would like to express special thanks to Mark and Julee Clark, and Kim Ward for their care of Mrs. Self. A celebration of Anna Mae’s life will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 28, 2013, in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Keith Johnson and Rev. Butch Cooper officiating. The Interment will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, in Grandview Cemetery.
