Artamae T. Callahan
Artamae T. Callahan, age 88, of Seymour, formerly of Maryville, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013, at Tennova Healthcare Center. She was a member of Seymour First Baptist Church and former member of Armona Baptist Church in Alcoa. Artamae was a proud member of her Liberty Sunday School Class. Preceded in death by husband, John Callahan; son, John Michael Callahan II; parents, Lavator and Mary Jane Callahan; grandson, Patrick Callahan; brothers, Otto Turner and Paul Tuner; sisters, Louise Gilbert and Bennett Gillespie; twin sister, Kena Gilbert. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Charlie Blankenship; grandsons, Vince Franklin and wife Michelle and Chad Callahan; great-grandchildren, Katie Franklin, John Michael III, Kiersten, Conner, Payton, and Jaxon; stepgrandchildren, Pam Blankenship and Teresa Oates. Funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Smith Trinity Chapel with Dr. Bruce Yates officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 11 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2013, at Grandview Cemetery.
