Arthur Jack Akins
Arthur Jack Akins, age 89, of Maryville, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012 at UT Medical Center. He was a member of the Local #270 IBEW for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Bessie Akins; parents, Ralph and Nellie Akins. He is survived by his son, David Akins and wife, Donna; daughter, Patricia Hutsell and husband, Bobby; grandchildren, Sonia Cannon, Loretta Cooper, Ronnie Hutsell, and Melissa Jenkins; 11 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul Akins and Charles Akins; sisters, Louella Tallent, Gertrude Scott, and Beulah Graham; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, with Rev. David Watson and Rev. Quinton Barb officiating. Interment will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Clarks Grove Cemetery.
