Bessie Mae ‘Jill’ Cochran
Bessie Mae “Jill” Cochran, age 90, of Maryville, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Maryville since 1948. She was a retired school teacher, having taught in the Blount County School System for 40 years. Preceded in death by parents, John B. and Manda Hutton Montgomery; brother, Bert Montgomery; cousins, Kate Kagley and Aline Hammond. Survivors include her husband, John M. Cochran; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Mary Jo Cochran; sisters-in-law, Eleanor Denton and Darlene Kerley; several other cousins. Family and friends will meet at Grandview Cemetery 11 a.m. Saturday for a graveside service with Rev. Larry Carroll officiating.
