Bettina Ina Laney, age 81, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, October 8, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Laney; mother, Sophia MacBain; father, John MacBain; sisters, Norma (Nancy) Hardesty, Naomi LaFave and husband Herbert; brothers, Albert MacBain, David MacBain, Gordon MacLeod and wife Melissa, Jamie MacBain, Campbell MacBain, Douglas MacBain. Survivors include her sons, Chuck Laney and wife Rosemary, Raymond Laney and wife Glenda; daughters, Patti Coble and husband Sam, Sheila Watson, Noreen Ott and husband Mark, Diana Book, April Grant; grandchildren, James and Mel, Luke and Dana, Frank and Nastausha, Tara, Stephanie, Beth, Jason, Rebecca, Adam, Heather, Marcus and Ashley, Daniel, Tobias, Aaron and Misty; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Haley, Katie, Ethan, Isabella, Christian, Paige, Isabella, Johanna, Archer, Aubree, Talon, Gavin; extended family and special friends, Alanna LaFave, Rhonda and Paul Coleman, Gladys and Lewis Huskey, Ronnie Golden, Michael McCarter, Linda and Jerry Rawlings, Jere Condon. Funeral service 1 p.m. Friday in Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel, Pigeon Forge. Rev. David Zavona and Rev. Rick Holifield officiating. Interment will follow in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens.
