Bill Hutson
Bill Hutson, 86, went to be with The Lord on Sunday, November 18, 2012. He passed away in his sleep at Urbandale Healthcare Center. Bill was born in Tellico, Tenn., on August 24, 1926. He fought in World War II. Before his deployment, he married the love of his life, Evelyn Oliver. Bill stayed in Tennessee, where he loved his Smoky Mountains and watching his Tennessee Vols play football, until August 2011, when he moved to the Des Moines area in Iowa with his youngest son. Preceded in death by: parents, Raymond and Vada Hutson; beloved wife, Evelyn; brothers and sisters, Francis, Raymond, Gladys, Hub, James and Kenneth; daughter-in-law, Sandy (Mike’s wife), and Marcus Brown. Bill is survived by: three sons, Bob, Mike and Shug; daughters-in-law, Bonnie (Bob’s wife) and Debbie (Shug’s wife); grandchildren, Gabe Hutson and wife April, Murph Hutson and wife Joy, Patrick Hutson, Michelle and Mark Elmy, Joy Bee Hutson; great-grandchildren, Jason and Colin Hutson, Joel and Camden Hutson, Marcus and Julius Elmy; sisters-in-law, Patsy Hutson and Kathy Hutson; extended family Vicki, Bryan, Taylor Brown and family; numerous nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, November 24, 2012, at Smith Chapel with Dr. Jerry Russell officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
