Daniel ‘Dan’ M. Gourley
Daniel “Dan” M. Gourley, age 59, of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Rescue Baptist Church. He was a wonderful and kind husband, father, grandfather, brother, and a true friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew him. Preceded in death by grandparents, H.H. Jack and Dolly Gourley; grandmother, Flossie Pilkington; grandson, E.J. Everett. Survivors include loving and devoted wife of 20 years, Millie Gourley; son, William Gourley of Maryville; daughter, Amy Everett of Maryville; three stepchildren, Charles Franklin, Marty Franklin, and Keith Franklin; 11 grandchildren; mother and stepfather, Cotton and Harry Burchfield; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donnie (Turk) and Kelly Gourley, Ronnie (Slurp) Garrett, and Tommy Gilbert Garrett; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Don Long of Maryville. Celebration of Dan’s life and receiving of friends will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Rescue Baptist Church with Rev. Carol Willis officiating.
