Dorothy Hancox Burns Rosseel, age 83, of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at Asbury Place. She was the most beautiful gift from the Lord. She had a beautiful smile and did a lot of work for the Veterans Auxiliary. Preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Beulah Hancox; sisters, Barbara Tipton, Jeannie Burns, and Carolyn Barilone; infant sister, Claudia Joan; granddaughters, Leanne Prater; first husband, Rex Burns. Survivors include husband, John Rosseel; sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Donna Burns and Doug and Gail Burns; son, Mark Burns and special friend, Lucy Brown; daughter, Jill Roulette; daughter and son-in-law, Amy Sue and Dwight Hall; five stepchildren; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Hancox; sisters, Judy Brauninger and Sandy Ross; special friends, Betty Jo Householder, Sue Holloway, and Norma Hollingsworth. The family would like to thank all the staff at Asbury Place for their wonderful service. Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Greg Long officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
