Edna Headrick Dunn
Edna Headrick Dunn, 98, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Preceded in death by husband, Earl L. Dunn; daughter, Mary Ruth Dunn; parents, Ervin and Rebecca Headrick; sisters, Sallie Waycaster, Cora McFall, Ocie Hardin and Dorothy Atchley; son-in-law, Glenn “Dub” Duncan. Edna is survived by daughter, Sarah (Tootsie) Duncan; grandchildren, Susan and Henry Burleigh, David Jackson and Julia Jackson, Wanda and Kenny Troutt; great-grandchildren, Michelle Smith, Barbara Jackson Thrasher, and Kris Rice; very dear friend, Brenda Parsley; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Special thanks to caregiver Melissa Wilson and to the wonderful staff of Caris Healthcare. Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Smith West Chapel with Rev. Arlen Gurley and Rev. Mike Simpson officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 11 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2013, at Grandview Cemetery.
