Eric Thomas Clement
Eric Thomas Clement, age 5, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord while sleeping on Monday evening, November 26, 2012. Eric was a kindergarten student in Ms. Kim’s class at West Hills Elementary School. He was a happy, free-spirited boy, who despite his chronic illness, took every day in stride without missing a beat. Eric loved to play with trains and construction trucks and he was happiest when playing outdoors. He is survived by his mother, Meghan Shields; father, Eric Clement and wife, Amanda Clement; grandparents, Thomas and Jacqueline Shields, Dale and Nancy Clement; aunts and uncles, Amy Shields, Thomas Shields III, Cindy Shields, Matthew Shields, Russell Clement, Julie Bernal and Julian Bernal; stepsisters, Megan Jenkins and Keely McLain; cousins, Claire and Mark Shields and James Clement; maternal great-grandfather, George Passabet of Naugatuck, Conn.; and paternal great-grandparents, Robert and Mary Clement of North Chili, N.Y.; many close relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2012, with a Christian Wake Service to follow at 7:30 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel. Family and friends will gather for a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012, at All Saints Catholic Church, 620 North Cedar Bluff Road, Knoxville. Private graveside services will follow.
