Frances ‘Fran’ M. Coffman
Frances “Fran” M. Coffman, age 90, of Maryville, went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 2, 2012, at Asbury Place of Maryville. Frances retired from ALCOA Aluminum Company and was a member of the 25 year club. She was born June 14, 1922. She was a member of Bungalow United Methodist Church, and loved to garden, cook and fish. She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Homer Thompson; second husband, Edward J. Coffman; daughter, Linda Canter; sons, Billy James Thompson and Robert Laughlin Thompson; parents, W.A. and Johnnie Rue Murphy; sisters, Alma Marie Trent, Mildred Imogene Best, and Rachel Rosalee Talmage; brothers, William Andrew Murphy Jr., James Hubert Murphy and Charles Lowell Murphy. She is survived by her daughter, Carole and Roger Ezell; son-in-law, Charles Canter of St. Charles, Mo.; sisters, Juanita Katherine Blair and Marilyn Euretha Simerly; brother, David Paul and Linda Murphy; beloved sister-in-law, Pauline Murphy; brother-in-law, Bill Talmage; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of very loved nieces, nephews and cousins. A very special thanks to the staff of Asbury Place of Maryville. Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home, Cedar Chapel, with Rev. Ronnie Blair and Rev. Jason Blair officiating, and a family eulogy by Nick Simerly. The interment will be held noon Wednesday at Liberty Christian Church Cemetery, with Rev.
