Garfene Wilson Sr.
Garfene Wilson Sr., 86, of Maryville, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012, at Kindred Healthcare. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Gladys Rasnake Wilson; infant sons, James and Jerry Wilson; son, Ron Wilson; six brothers, and five sisters. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Gladys Johnson Wilson; children, Judy and Harley Arwood, Don and Brenda Wilson, Garfene Jr. and Vicki Wilson; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren; brother, Rev. Giles Wilson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Johnny Love, Wilma and Fred Rash, and Brenda Harris; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville, with Rev. Jaymes Tharp officiating. The family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Monday at Magnolia Cemetery for a graveside and interment service. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
