George P. Thomas
George P. Thomas, age 64, of Maryville, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012, at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Mountain Home, Tenn. George retired from ALCOA after 37 years of service and was a member of their 25-Year Club. He was active in his DAV Group. George was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Preceded in death by son, Brandon Thomas; parents, Kelly and Maggie Thomas; brother, Ronald Thomas; grandmother, Josie Thomas. Survivors include wife of 40 years, Sandra Thomas; daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Troy Eggers of Maryville; aunt, Georgia Thomas; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and several special friends. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Bob Hatley officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
