Gordon R. Gould
Gordon R. Gould, age 86, of Maryville, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013, at Asbury Place of Maryville. He was a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army/Air Corps, having served during World War II. He was a flight engineer on a B-24 Bomber. He was a graduate of the University of Nebraska with a degree in geology. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elayne M. Gould and second wife, Ursula Gould; son, Steve Gould; and parents, Phillip and Gladys Gould, brothers, Earl Gould, Bruce Gould, sister, Dorothy Nichols. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, David Gould of Maryville, Randy and Elaine Gould of Iowa and Brad and Elfriede Gould of Germany; daughter, Conni Gould of Illinois, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Tom Gould of Nebraska and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Worrier Project at http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org . Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Maryville First United Methodist Church (804 Montvale Station Road, Maryville), Rev. Larry Carroll and Rev. Brenda Carroll officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Maryville First United Methodist Church.
