Harold (Buddy) Thomas, age 73, of Vonore, passed away 4:04 p.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Select SpecialtyHospital. Veteran of Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Army. Was born, raised and a lifelong resident of the Ballplay community. A truck driver for 28 years and drove 22 of those years partnered with his wife. Survivors, wife, Gayle Chinn Thomas, Daughters & son-in-law, Donna Thomas, Tellico Plains, Cindy & Greg Ogle, Vonore, Brinda Shaw, Vonore, Son & daughter-in-law, Berry & Gaila Thomas, Tellico Plains, Grandchildren & spouses, Keith Thomas, Cory Thomas, Dustin Thomas, Daphne & Eddie Dean, Samantha & Donnie Norwood, Addie & Daniel Garrett & Skye Cummings, Great-grandchildren, Bo, Gabe, Jaden and “one on the way”, Sisters & brothers-in-law, Betty & Tom Boatman, Maryville, Sue & Garry Roberts, Ballplay, Brothers & sisters-in-law, Jarvis & Mary Lou Thomas, Tellico Plains, Taylor & Ellen Thomas, David & Marie Thomas, Roger & Cheri Thomas, Johnny & Angie Thomas, all of Ballplay, Several nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Reece & Mae Giles Thomas, brother, Jack Thomas. Funeral 8 p.m. Monday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Samuel Hollinghead & Rev. Scott Knight officiating. Interment 11 A.M. Tuesday, Ebenezer (Ballplay) Cemetery with military honors provided by V.F.W. Post #5156 & D.A.V. #93. Family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Monday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
