James Ivy Clifton
James Ivy Clifton, age 75, of Maryville, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. Preceded in death by the love of his life for 57 years, Marilyn Ann, who passed away on Feb. 16, 2013; parents, James Dewey and Anna Mae Guthrie Clifton; one brother, two sisters. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Brian Holley, Connie Langridge, Cynthia and Mike Thompson, and Carol and Tony Smith; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Franklin and Jeanette Clifton; sister, Yvonne Helton; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013, in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Brooky Gray officiating.
