Joe H. Humphrey Sr.
Joe H. Humphrey Sr., age 91, of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at UT Medical Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a Silver Star recipient, having served during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ola Mae Humphrey; parents, Brownlow and Stella Caldwell Humphrey; brothers, Floyd Humphrey and Lawrence Humphrey; and sister, Bernice McClanahan. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Harold and Pat Humphrey, and John Humphrey; daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie and Douglas Campbell; grandchildren, Kevin Campbell, Gilbert Campbell, Eric Humphrey, Dustin Koehl, Andrew Humphrey, Brandon Humphrey, and Caitlin Humphrey; great-grandchildren, Grant Campbell, and Christopher and Kristin Campbell; brothers, Fred Humphrey, Robert Humphrey, and Arthur Humphrey; sisters, Mary Ellen Newman and Helen Taylor; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, with Rev. Jeff Hickman officiating. Family and friends will gather at noon Friday at Cold Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
