Joy Jenett Cooper
Joy Jenett Cooper, age 84, of Maryville, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Red Top Baptist Church. Joy was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Cooper; brothers, Ray Buchanan, Oscar Buchanan, and Clyde Buchanan; sister, Donnie Sawyers; father and mother, Eugene and Liddie Buchanan. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Cindy Cooper and Phil and Janice Cooper, all of Maryville; granddaughters, Feather Cooper and Jesse Cooper; sister, Eloise Garland; nieces, Kitty Garner and Katie Buchanan; and nephew, Clarence Sawyers. The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2012, in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Butch Cooper officiating. Family and friends will gather for the entombment at Grandview Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2012. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Benevolence Fund at First Baptist Church of Friendsville, 403 N. Farnum Street, Friendsville, TN 37737.
