Juanita Hawkins Williams
Juanita Hawkins Williams, born February 8, 1935, died July 9, 2012. She was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Flossie Hawkins. She leaves behind Jim Williams, husband of 54 years; daughters, Libby and husband Kenny Davis, Coni and husband Gary Hennersdorf, and Kim and husband Chris Towe; grandchildren, Amanda Davis, Cassie and husband Cade Womack, Mikel Towe and Leah Towe; and great-granddaughter Lucy Womack. Juanita was a long-standing member at Beaver Ridge United Methodist Church. She spent her working career as a caregiver first at Fort Sanders where she graduated from nursing school and later at UT Hospital in the Cardiac Care Unit. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the University of Tennessee Cole Neuroscience Center, C/O Development Office, 2121 Medical Center Way, Ste. 110, Knoxville TN 37920 telephone 865-305-6611 for the research and treatment of Parkinson’s and Alzheimer disease. A special appreciation is sent from the family to Dr. Brewer, Mr. Baxter and the staff at Cole and the nurses and attendants at Atria and Patriot Park for her recent care. The family will receive friends 1–2 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012, followed by a 2 p.m. chapel service with Rev. Catherine Nance officiating. Interment will be private.
