Margaret S. Ellis
Margaret S. Ellis, age 80, of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013, after a long illness. Margaret was a loving mother, devoted wife and a cherished grandmother/great-grandmother. Margaret is survived by her husband of 60 years, Clarence Ellis; daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Terry Allen, Vicki Foster and Charlie Blair; son and daughter-in-law, David and Teresa Ellis, all of Maryville; brothers and sister-in-law, Russell and Dolly Shanks of California, Larry Shanks of Florida; special friend, Judy Rice. To her six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Margaret was lovingly known as Granny. Along with being the glue of the Ellis family, Margaret worked in the Blount County judicial system for over 25 years from service as a Blount County deputy under L.B. Sutton to numerous positions in Blount County Sessions and Juvenile courts. There will not be a service at this time and the family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations are made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
