Marlow M. Hearon
Marlow M. Hearon, age 86, of Maryville, born on May 11, 1926, completed his earthly journey Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at his home. He was a longtime member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. He served in the 42nd Rainbow Division of the U.S. Army during World War II. He saw action in the Battle of the Bulge and was part of the Dachau liberation. After working 26 years for White Stores, he retired from the Dept. of Employment Security as the local veterans representative. He later worked at Kroger and Food City. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Ada Boring Hearon; parents, Albert and Tennie Carpenter Hearon; son-in-law, Charles “Chigger” Kron; sisters, Elvira Boring and Ila Whitehead; and brothers, Charles, Earl, Ernest, Ivory, Warren, Ira, and Arvel. He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Anita and Paul Clark and Linda Carol Kron; sons and daughter-in-law, Larry and Carolyn Hearon and Dwaine Hearon; grandchildren and spouses, Brian and Anna Morelock, Stephanie and Junior Wyatt, Holly and Michael Bumbalough, Megan and Terry Clute, and Jeff Clark; great-grandchildren, Isabelle Bumbalough and Lex, Alexis, and Alex Clute; brothers, Ervin and Sterling; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Juanita Kuykendall, Susie Stephens, and Blount Memorial Hospice. Funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2012, at Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Rev. Clifton Hearon and Scott Linginfelter officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mount Carmel Building Fund, 910 Walker School Rd., Maryville, TN 37803. Family and friends will gather 11 a.m. Saturday at Centenary Cemetery for the interment. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at Mount Carmel Baptist Church.
