Martha Webb Hudson

Martha Webb Hudson was born on March 14, 1934, to the union of James and Sallie Webb. She was called to the loving arms of Jesus on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. She was a loving mother, but more important, a devoted child of God. She was a member of Rest Haven Baptist Church. Although her passing was suddenly on Tuesday, we rejoice in knowing that she will be joining those who preceded her in death: parents, James and Sallie Webb; son, William Terry Ferguson; sisters, Mary (Sis) Manuel, Annie Ruth Webb and Mildred Winfield; and granddaughter, Amanda Gonzales. She leaves to cherish her memories, two devoted sons and one devoted daughter-in-law, Ronald Ferguson and Jimmy (Gaynell) Ferguson of Alcoa; four devoted sisters, Runell (Hubert) Prater, Knoxville, Jamesy (Alvin) Barton, Joyce (Terrence) Adams and Peggy Webb of Alcoa; one devoted brother, James Webb; 12 grandchildren, Angie Ferguson of Syracuse, N.Y., Terry (Lavetta) Ferguson of Nashville, Tenn., Gerald Ferguson of Louisville, Terry (Michelle) Jordan of Knoxville, Shannon Zachery, Laron Ferguson and Jennifer Henry of Alcoa, Nichole Cook of Knoxville, Natalie Bradley and Jimeesha Tate of Alcoa, Trinia Lewis of Knoxville and Tiffany Adkins of Maryville; 36 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; five nieces and 11 nephews; a host of cousins; and special friends, to include Clara Adkins, Eppie Julian, Judy Anthony and Thelma Garner. Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Rest Haven Baptist Church, Alcoa, with Rev. Richard Turney officiating and Rev. Terry Jordan as eulogist. Interment to follow at Sherwood Gardens, Alcoa. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Friends may call at the home of Jimmy and Gaynell Ferguson, 208 W. Newcomen St., Alcoa. The body may be viewed from noon to 6 p.m. Friday at Foothills Funeral Home, Maryville, http://www.foothillsfuneralhome.com
