Mary Ruth Melton

Mary Ruth Melton, age 83, of Alcoa, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013, at Kindred Health Care. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Alcoa. Preceded in death by her husband, Lee O’Neal Melton; mother and father, Myrtis Best and Herman Huffstetler; stepmother, Pearl Clark. Survivors include daughter, Ondra S. Henry; grandson, Sean Mello; great-grandson, Brandon Mello; stepgrandchildren, Christopher Henry and Melissa Galentine; stepgreat-grandchildren, David, Janet and Sara; brothers, Herman Huffstetler Jr., Barton Huffstetler, and Burl Huffstetler; sisters, Lois Morse, Carol Huffstetler, and Edna Lee Medlin; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Freeman Tomlin officiating. The interment will follow in Carpenters United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
